Aachener Str. 16, Cologne
Very tasty and to be recommended. Everything was freshly prepared and packed well to take away. We even got a drink to shorten the waiting time. We will be back definitely.
Delicious! Eating vegan there is great. The service is always nice, just often a bit shaky, so I always had non-vegan mayo when I only wanted vegan dips. So you have to be careful, or rather ask again. Waiting time for a seat at the weekend (if there is no lockdown ..) often quite long, but when you sit down the food comes quickly. I can highly recommend it :)
Food and atmosphere like in Tel Aviv ... it's always good to be there :-)
Great food at very good prices, will be happy to come back and can only recommend the Nish Nush, which I will / have already done. The service was also very nice.
We got something spontaneously yesterday (the Super Bowl and the Tal Aviv plate with Beyond Meat) and it was really delicious. We even got the lemonade for free! Everything was very fresh and spicy :) The owner was incredibly friendly! However, you should definitely order more than us if you are very hungry;)
Best street food so far..
Great food, polite service, not overpriced. I can only recommend it.
Located in the middle of Aachener Str near Rudolfplatz is the small but nicely furnished restaurant. The ambience is lovely. You feel like you are in another little world. The dishes shine with exotic spices. To be highlighted is the extremely friendly staff. I've rarely seen anything like this. All in all a very convincing concept. We would love to come back. Unfortunately the portions have gotten a bit smaller ...
The point is for the friendly, unfortunately incompetent, service. We ordered several portions of shakshuka and unfortunately got lukewarm canned tomatoes with eggs! The kitchen is completely overrated! Israeli cuisine is definitely not! There is still a lot of need for optimization here!
Absolute recommendation! Great service and fabulous food !!! Definitely again next time you visit Cologne!
The NishNush is just delicious. Before Corona it was very tight and without a reservation you have long waiting times. But the food tastes great.
Absolutely delightful Israeli Jewish cuisine, everything is super fresh and tastes amazing
Delicious!
As the weather, the hummus is cold in Germany
Great food, reasonable prices. Would go back again!
Great Middle East restaurant with completely different dishes. The homemade drinks are also worthwhile. We had the Royal Jerusalem, which we really liked. Only the dessert (swish swush) was a bit disappointing and the staff could be a bit more motivated and friendly in places. We will definitely be back!
Very tasty food and friendly staff
Top Israeli food. Freshly made, very rich and very tasty. Great atmosphere and better service. I can only recommend it!
Very tasty good food, reasonably priced. Had falafels cauliflower and royal jerusalem plus hummus and cheese sticks. Was around 39 euros and we were full. No reservation possible, we were there on Friday around 1800 and it took a while until we found a place for 4. Service was friendly. It's very tight inside in corona times, I would have liked more distance, but we also understand that it is difficult in these times. Highly recommended restaurant!
My first foray into Israeli cuisine was a sensational taste explosion. Great and very welcoming ambience. The hummus with lamb tasted very good and had a lot of depth. In terms of price, really cheap, for the quantities on the plate. You should definitely try one of the great cocktails. Even the alcohol-free cocktails taste fresh and sophisticated. We will be back definitely.
Enjoy your meal! Highly Recommended. The boss is always serving, super friendly! Not my last visit in any case ..
It was my first time there and I was very excited: the food was more like delicious (especially the HUMMUS) and the staff was also very friendly. I'm looking forward to the next time with you!
Very good food. We tried hummus and grandma’s recipe. Both were delicious. Try their ginger lemonade.
Unfortunately, I cannot share the many positive reviews. The food tasted okay, but I found the portion size not quite appropriate for the price. The fries are a little greasy. The lemonade is way too sweet for me personally. The big drawback is the service. Or better: this doesn't exist. If you order food at the bar, you have to pay immediately. The meals don't all come at the same time, but little by little, so that unfortunately you cannot eat at the same time during dinner / lunch. Unfortunately, it wasn't really warm anymore when it arrived after more than 30 minutes (we're talking about “fast” food here). The staff seemed friendly, but very stressed and sometimes overwhelmed. All in all, there are far too many top alternatives for me at the Aachener and you shouldn't be blinded by the hip interior of this shop. But everyone has to decide for themselves.
Horrible experience!!! Unprofessional to the core. I can just warn everyone to visit this place. Worst service if you can even call it that. Do yourself a favor and go to a restaurant/street food joint that deserves the name.
Nice ambience. Pleasant coworkers. Fresh and tasty food. Big portion. Reasonable prices.
Unfortunately, despite the anticipation, a failure and not recommended. - Concept is not well thought out. You have to order at the cash register, but the food is brought to the seat by the waiters. Why not order and settle directly at the seat? Everyone is jostling at the front, which is not ideal in the current situation. - Hygiene is questionable, regardless of Corona. When part of our food fell on the table while it was being served, the waitress said "the table is actually clean". Absolute no-go and that's why we'll never be back. It wasn't our fault and NEVER use a sentence like this with food. Is the floor in the kitchen clean even if it has been wiped over briefly? A new plate was brought to us at our request, but due to the reaction I am not sure whether we really got a new one, as the waitress was back in what felt like 10 seconds (but doesn't want to rule it out). That leaves a bitter taste in the truest sense of the word when eating. It's a shame because the waitress was actually very nice ... - The food was tasty, arrived relatively quickly, the plates were nicely arranged, but the price was quite high for the amount. In principle, I don't mind paying more if everything else is right. If you go to one of the numerous Arabic snack bars nearby, however, you can get similar cuisine in larger portions for half the price. That's why points 1 and 2 shouldn't actually be, because these are things that you would expect in a snack bar and not in a hip bar.
Extremely nice staff, good food, good cocktails and good prices.
Great authentic Israeli food and drinks!! Awesome atmosphere!
Great Tel Aviv feeling. Delicious food for a low price 10/10 would recommend!
Very unique place to go and very delicious food. The price is moderate also.
"Israeli Hummos" tastes the same as "French couscous" or "German Namibian Biltong". Might be good ingredients but with colonial aftertaste. Enjoy if it's your thing!
Great Israeli food! Really liked the cauliflower and eggplant, my absolute highlight were the mushrooms though. Place us rather small and tends to be crowded. Modern atmosphere. 5⭐️
Vey good food.
Small, cute shop in Aachen. The map is extensive and everything looks so good that the decision is difficult. But never mind, so far every choice has been delicious! Also very vegetarian and vegan friendly.
Real authentic "Israeli" food. Loved the Sabich and chumus. Customer service is also somewhat Israeli... :-)
Lovely place and amazon Middle East food. Portions is quite large and the price can’t be beaten. They offer “normal” to vegetarian to vegan options.
Pretty nice place to savour some close-to-authentic food. Portions are sufficient, tasty, and the price correct for the overall quality. The interior is OK and so are the staff, although rather disengaged at times. The shakshouka is really worth it!
Best shakshouka I ever ate
Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. And most importantly, amazing food. I would recommend the Shakshuka, though the lamb and falafel dishes were also very good. Most people giving less stars because you have to stand inline at the cashier and pay when you order. But dont let this sway you from the amazing food!
What an experience! I Love Israelian Food. We had peppermint Tee, falafel and red beet hummus. Additional to that lamb shawarma and some kofte out of beef and hummus dip. Shakshuka was our favourite. A meal out of Tomato in a pan with eggs and cheese.
Really tasty food and good prices. Would’ve given it five stars but I found it lame that you have to queue up to order and pay. Very slow and inefficient.
I ordered a shakshuka. It was quite delicious. The base of the dishes are vegan/ vegetable and if you wish you can add different topic like cheese, Kebab. So to get a vegan and vegetable dish is possible. The portions are very big, maybe it is better to share (;
The food is just delicious and rich. It is possible to sit outside, even when it is cold, due to a heating lamp :) If you want to have a nice atmosphere and good food, come here and don't miss out. btw. Very friendly and helpful personnel.
Great food, great atmosphere and team. Everything we ordered was super fresh and tasty, and most importantly - just as good as the original in Tel Aviv :) Recommendations: - The traditional plate (with Lamb/Turkey shawarma) - The humus (add an egg) - maybe the best I've had in Germany - Sabich (Falafel's better cousin)
We had four starters(stone egg, roasted egg plant, parsley salad and falafel). The parsley salad and falafel were good. The stone egg was nothing special but just plain boiled egg. The roasted egg plant tasted plain to me as well. Besides, we also had a hummus and a pita with filling. I personally like hummus more. Because hummus will come with two pita, it’s kind of similar to the pita with filling but bigger portion. Overall, it’s a nice restaurant.
The best hummus in town!! Super Israeli vibes!
Food was really tasty and the location is perfect however the price is high. For comparison I got one falafel sandwich for 5,5 euros and one shawarma for 7 or 8 euro, in any other falafel-shawarma place a falafel won’t cost more than 3,5 and XL size shawarmas or donër cost around 5 euros. Nish Nush does give sauces and a few olives and other pickled items on the side which is a plus. Still happy with the food!
Had an amazing night, good food and great atmosphere, will definitely be going again
Good food with some potential. Got to come back and try more.
